美國國家催眠師公會是一個現立於新罕布什爾州，教育性的非營利組織。原於1951年設立於麻薩諸塞州的波士頓。公會是一個專業組織，其成員都為了催眠學的發展而努力。公會提供一個公開的論壇以供大眾免費交換有關催眠學的想法。公會對成員來說是一個提供資源的組織，在有關法律和立法方面又是一個載體。

The National Guild of Hypnotists is a not-for-profit, educational corporation in the State of New Hampshire. Founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1951. The Guild is a professional organization comprised of dedicated individuals committed to advancing the field of hypnotism. It provide an open forum for the free exchange of ideas concerning hypnotism. The Guild is a resource for members and a vehicle for legal and legislative action.

美國國家催眠師公會於1951年為一群熱心的催眠師和波士頓催眠中心的領導者，Rexford L. North博士所設立。在很短的時間內，美國和加拿大的主要城市都成立了地方性的分會。這些年中公會提供的重要資源包括The Journal of Hypnotism 和 The Hypno-Gram，兩者都是催眠學領域領先的專業期刊。

The Guild was established in 1951 by an enthusiastic group of hypnotists and Dr. Rexford L. North, Director of the Hypnotism Center of Boston, MA. Within a short time, local chapters were formed and operating in many major cities throughout the US and Canada. Important resources through the years have been The Journal of Hypnotism and The Hypno-Gram, the very first publications devoted exclusively to the field of hypnotism.

這個獨特的組織持續性的鼓勵會員間的意見交換，友情，互信與合作，一方面宣揚和保護催眠的藝術、科學和哲學。總會長和執行長Dwight F. Damon博士傾全力使大眾承認催眠學是獨立的專業領域。公會對於任何需要協助的團體和個人總是盡力協助，不分是否公會會員。

This unique organization continues to encourage an eclectic exchange of ideas, fellowship, mutual trust and cooperation among members - while promoting and protecting the art, science and philosophy of hypnotism. As President and Executive Director, Dr. Dwight F. Damon has made it his mission to do everything possible to have our field recognized as a separate and distinct profession. The Guild has always assisted wherever needed, helping other groups and individuals in various states regardless of their affiliations.

鍾時傑博士在2003年向美國N.G.H.總會提出在台北設立分會的申請。在美國N.G.H.總會的同意之下，N.G.H.台北分會於2003年11月12日正式誕生了。

Dr. Chung has applied to the N.G.H. to form a local chapter in Taipei, Taiwan. It has been approved and the N.G.H. Taipei Chapter was born on November 12, 2003.

美國心理治療協會是一個國際會員組織，其宗旨為聯合許多各種領域的專業人士來促進心理治療專業的發展以及提升執業的標準。會員由將近6,000位全球專業心理顧問，社工人員，家庭與婚姻治療師，心理學家，精神病醫師，精神分析學家，牧師顧問，精神治療護理師所組成。

The American Psychotherapy Association(A.P.A.) is an international membership association developed to bring together professionals from a variety of disciplines to advance the profession of psychotherapy and elevate standards of practice. Membership is comprised of almost 6,000 counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, pastoral counselors, nurse psychotherapists, and other psychotherapy professionals from around the world.

在較具聲望的會員中，有一位Jeffrey K. Zeig博士，艾瑞克森基金會的發起人與執行長。Zeig博士是短暫療法與心理治療演進會議的創始人。他也是艾瑞克森式催眠與心理治療國際大會的組織者。

Among the most prestige members is Jeffrey K. Zeig, Ph.D., Founder and Director of The Milton H. Erickson Foundation, Inc.  Dr. Zeig is the architect of the Brief Therapy and the Evolution of Psychotherapy Conferences. He is organizer of the eight International Congresses on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy.

經過嚴格的考察後，鍾時傑博士於2005年4月12日被美國心理治療協會授予「授證會員」的會員資格。與一般會員不同，授證會員必須通過美國心理治療協會所制定的，在知識、技能、教育、訓練、實際治療經驗各方面的嚴格規範。
　

Dr. Samuel Chung has been awarded Diplomate status in the American Psychotherapy Association(A.P.A.) on April 12, 2005. Diplomate status is reserved for those individuals who are able to meet the stringent requirements of the APA in the area of knowledge, skill, education, training, and experience in the therapeutic process.

由美國心理治療協會授予「授證會員」的會員，其資格自動的在美國國家資格檢定委員會登記列管。這確認了該會員在心理治療專業上的卓越成就。

Diplomate status through the American Psychotherapy Association is registered with the National Certification Commission and is a voluntary process that recognizes excellence in the profession of psychotherapy.

世界優異顧問聯盟(WLGC)評議會成員

Council member, The World League of Gifted Counsellors (W.L.G.C.)

世界優異顧問聯盟(WLGC)於第一次世界大戰後，1922年2月23日正式成立。聯盟正式使用的兩種語言是英文和法文。當時聯盟的總部設立於瑞士日內瓦。聯盟的組織計有評議會，大會以及秘書處。

The World League of Gifted Counsellors (WLGC) formally came into existence on February 23, 1922, after the First World War. The two official languages of the League were English and French. The headquarters of the League was Geneva, Switzerland. The organization of the League included the Council, the Assembly and the Secretariat.

聯盟的目標是綜合並發展各類型顧問的專長與智慧。因此聯盟並不對外界開放，為了避免政治性的影響，聯盟也對成員的選擇十分小心。因為在經濟上獨立於成員，聯盟得以保持其高標準的做法。事實上，聯盟的3700多位成員中有些甚至依靠聯盟提供研究經費。

The aim of the League is to incorporate and develop talents and wisdom as counsellors. To that end the League remain close to outsiders and choose its members carefully for fear of political influence. The League is able to keep its high standard by remain financially independent of its members. Indeed, some of the League’s 3700 members even depend on the League for research founding.

由於鍾時傑博士在台灣的優秀工作，聯盟於2003年11月22日主動聯絡並吸收為聯盟中少數的亞洲會員之一。2004年3月29日，聯盟決議授與鍾時傑博士榮譽心理學博士的學位。這是由於他極為優秀的論文：「完美的組合：現代催眠學與古中華民族的智慧」。也因此，在接下來的評議會會議中，鍾博士被推舉成為聯盟評議會的成員，這對任何一位會員來說，都是少見的榮譽。

Dr. Samuel Chung is contacted by the League and accepted as one of the few Asian members on November 22, 2003 for his outstanding work in Taiwan. On March 29, 2004, the League decided to award the honor degree on Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD) to Dr. Samuel Chung. This was due to his outstanding dissertation named “A perfect marriage: modern hypnotism and ancient Chinese wisdom”. In the subsequence council meeting, Dr. Chung is accepted to be a member of the League’s council, a rare honour bestowed to any member.
